- | more. A detailed analysis of how the

- | Data from the 1992-93 season have been

- | is a football handicapping program created
- | to pick winning teams considering the
- | Betting Spread points. It's success rate was
- | 73% in 1986, 43% in 1987, 57% in 1988 and
- | 62% in 1989. It also provides useful
- | statistical information based on the data
- | given. For under and over betting, the
- | probable points scored is also provided. A
- | schedule for the 1993 football season is
- | included, as well as a database for 1992
- | games.
- THORO44.ZIP 153012 09-09-93 Cambridge Handicappers 4.4 [Hyre, Leonard
- | and Himowitz, Michael J.; $30] This disk
- | contains three handicapping programs: for
- | Thoroughbred, Harness and Greyhound
- | Handicappers. These are professional quality
- | handicappers, incorporating three important
- | factors to the calculations: Speed Rating,
- | Track Variant, and Gender. Formulas work
- | well with longer races and assist in weeding
- | out horses who show early speed but fade at
- | longer distances. Also includes Cambridge
- | Thoroughbred Handicapper 5.0 ($50), a fully
- | relational database that stores, retrieves,
- | and modifies race analyses. Note that you

- | assist you in picking lottery numbers based
- | on your personal biorythms. This is more
- | like it. I personally get irritated by
- | programs that purport to use mathematical
- | analysis to foretell the results of a future
- | random selection of numbers. Here's a
- | program more to my liking -- if you're going
- | to engage in voodoo, use voodoo; don't
- | pretend to use science. After analyzing your
- | chances of success based on your biorythms
- | for the day of the lottery, it will generate
- | number selections for you based on numbers
- | that it deems to be "good" for you.

- | realistic computer version of the casino
- | game of craps. The documentation contains
- | lots of information on strategy and

- PIRADA.ZIP 145343 11-21-93 Pirada I, II, and III (ETS Inc.; $?)
- | contains three animated games: blackjack,
- | draw poker, and Keno. In Pirada I, you
- | uncover cards on a grid, trying to get as
- | many columns and rows to sum to 21 as you
- | can. You must have a least one 21 point hand
- | to advance to the next level. If you uncover
- | a grenade, you have to finish before the
- | grenade goes off or you lose one of your
- | lives. Pirada II is a draw poker game played
- | on a grid, with hyperactive munchkins
- | bouncing up and down when you get a high
- | scoring hand. Pirada III is a variation of
- | Keno, with amusing animated eyes. This is a
- | very well done package. VGA and a mouse are
- | required.
- RACETRAK.COM 62127 04-01-89 RaceTrak 1.0 (Margulis, Peter; $3-$4) is a
- | horserace game for up to 10 bettors. It
- | closely simulates being at the track. You
- | place bets, watch the race and the computer
- | keeps track of how much you've won or lost.
- | The horses' names and odds are randomly
- | generated and the results of the races are
- | based on these odds. There are also varying
- | track lengths and conditions that affect the
- | results. The graphics are somewhat crude,
- | but effective. The overall design of the
- | program is very good, in our opinion.
- ROULETT.COM 39345 12-04-89 Roulette 1.1 (Dew, Robert; $?) is a good
- | version of a program that has never been
- | very well done before. In addition to
- | getting the game, you get a good explanation
- | of the rules and strategies of betting.
- ROUL40.ZIP 8546 09-21-93 Roulette is a 40-number version of the old
- | 36-number roulette gambling game.
